Arrive in Casablanca and transfer from the airport to your hotel.
Depart Casablanca and head south to Chefchaouen, stop at Rabat, Morocco’s capital and second-largest city. On the other hand, Rabat, which means “Fortified Place” displays all the fine architecture one might expect to see. Start by the Royal Palace and the ancient ruins of Chellah and Udayas kasbah, as well as Hassan Tower. After lunch, the journey continues towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco nestled in The Rif Mountains. Spend the evening at leisure.
This morning, set out for the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Moreover, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a unique glimpse into ancient Morocco. Then, view a series of mansions, monuments and olive mills surrounded by remnants of the city’s defense walls. After lunch, in Meknes. your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes, discover the walled city of Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that rose to glory under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Additionally, view the monumental horseshoe-shape Bab Mansour gate. Once complete the tour, you will head off to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco.
After breakfast, begin your guided tour of the Medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. Enter via the Bab Boujloud, or “Blue Gate” and visit the famed Al-Bou Inania Madrasa. Explore the narrow streets lined with mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. Then, stop at the Chouara Tannery to view copper craftsmen at work in Seffarine Square. For lunch, you will eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the Medina. The tour ends outside the Karaouine Mosque and University, the oldest continuously functioning university in the world. Last and the not least, A visit to the Kings Palace then return to your hotel for the evening.
This will be a long and rewarding touring day. After breakfast, depart for Merzouga via the montane cedar woods of the middle Atlas Mountains, passing by Switzerland of Morocco which is Ifrane, a charming ski resort. After lunch in Midelt, continue driving to the majestic Sahara via Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley. Upon arrival in the village of Merzouga, ride a camel into the desert in order to watch the fabulous sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After sunset, return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
This morning, go on a tour around the beautiful region including a visit to Nomads, lunch in a Gnaoua house with music and many more. Afterwards, depart to explore the small city of Rissani, on the edge of the Sahara. Upon arrival in Rissani, tour the lively souk and visit an 18th-century ksar. Next, pass by the ancient ruins of Sijilmasa on the River Ziz, once a bustling Berber city and medieval trade depot. After that, drive back to Merzouga for an afternoon at leisure.
This morning, continue your 10-days tour from Casablanca to Tinghir via the Erfoud Road. En route, stop at a fossil factory to learn more about this unique activity which is famous in the region. Upon arrival in the magnificent Todgha gorges, wander in this lovely oasis which rises to a towering 800 feet. Thereafter, drive to dades canyon for the night.
After breakfast, continue your journey to Ouarzazate via a road of a thousand Kasbahs. Pass by “the city of roses” which is well known for the production of rose water. Following breakfast, take a morning tour of the city, the southern pearl of Morocco. discover the Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century, where Saadian royalty found their final resting place. In addition to that, your tour also includes the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, as well as the gorgeous Bahia Palace and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, continue the tour on by walking through the medina, getting a chance to admire all the different artisans performing their craft before arriving at the Jemma el Fna Square.
