Tour Itinerary: 3 Nights Camel Trek Morocco

Day 1: Welcome to the Sahara – Camel Trek & Desert Sunset

Upon arrival at our hotel in Merzouga, you'll leave your car in our safe parking area and prepare your overnight bag for the desert adventure ahead.

Your camel trek begins in the late afternoon, about two hours before sunset. Led by our experienced Berber guides, you'll ride deep into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi—one of the most spectacular landscapes in Morocco.

Along the way, you'll:

  • Watch an unforgettable sunset over the dunes

  • Take a break in the middle of the Sahara for photos

  • Try sandboarding if you're up for a thrill

When you arrive at the camp, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional glass of mint tea. After a delicious Moroccan dinner, gather around the fire for Berber drumming and storytelling under a blanket of stars before settling in for the night in your cozy desert tent.

Day 2: Sunrise, Oasis Lunch & Nomadic Life

Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise from the top of a dune. After breakfast, you’ll continue your journey with a morning camel trek deeper into the Sahara.

Highlights of the day include:

  • A peaceful break and lunch at a small desert oasis

  • Plenty of time to relax, wander the dunes, or take more photos

In the evening, you’ll reach the home of a Berber nomad family, where you’ll enjoy traditional food, learn about their way of life, and share stories over tea. This is a unique opportunity to experience authentic desert culture.

Day 3: Into the Heart of the Sahara

After breakfast and another stunning sunrise, your camel caravan will continue even further into the desert to your third and final desert camp.

Today’s journey features:

  • Lunch and mint tea in the shade of a lone desert tree

  • Time to chill, read, explore, or just enjoy the complete silence of the Sahara

  • Sunset watching, followed by a tasty dinner and relaxing under the stars

Day 4: Sunrise Farewell & Return

Your desert adventure wraps up with one last magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, you’ll either:

  • Camel trek back to the original starting point

  • Or opt for a 4WD transfer straight to the village

This marks the end of your unforgettable 3-night Merzouga camel trek—an experience you’ll carry with you for life.
