🏜️ Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Merzouga Desert (564 km – 8 hrs)

Your private 2-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or riad by our MorokoTour driver/guide. We’ll journey across the stunning High Atlas Mountains, passing through the scenic Tizi N'Tichka Pass, stopping to admire panoramic views and Berber villages nestled in the hills.

Next, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages and filming location for Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and The Mummy. After a short break, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you'll see the impressive Taourirt Kasbah.

Traveling through the lush Skoura palm grove and Rose Valley, we pass through the towns of Dades, Todra Gorge, Tinejdad, and Touroug, enjoying the ever-changing desert landscape. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga.

Begin your camel trekking adventure in Erg Chebbi, riding across the golden dunes during a spectacular Sahara sunset. Try sandboarding if you wish, then head to our Berber desert camp in Merzouga, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea, served a traditional dinner, enjoy Berber music around the campfire, and sleep in a private nomadic tent under the stars.

🌄 Day 2: Erg Chebbi → Draa Valley → Agdez → Anti-Atlas Mountains → Marrakech (564 km – 8 hrs)

Wake up early to watch a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes — a magical highlight of your desert experience. After a hearty Berber breakfast and shower at the camp, ride your camel back to the village or opt for a 4x4 transfer.

We begin the journey back to Marrakech, traveling through the scenic Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and surrounded by oases of acacia trees and historic kasbahs. We continue through Agdez and the rugged Anti-Atlas Mountains, eventually stopping for lunch in Ouarzazate.
